Asphalt Mix Storage

In the design of Amomatic storage silos, special attention has been given to preventing segregation of the asphalt mix. Silos, of either round or square cross-section, can be delivered with a variety of equipment and accessories. Skip cars are speed-controlled by an inverter enabling high production efficiency and smooth operation. The silo discharge gates incorporate an electric heating system as a standard feature.

Construction

Depending on the type, the silos can be equipped either each silo with own base construction, or all silos with a common support construction. The insulation is protected with profiled plastic coated steel cladding. The skip car track incorporates an intermediate discharge bin. The lower end of the skip car track is hinged and
it can be lifted up by means of a winch, thus enabling the loading of asphalt mix directly from the mixer onto a truck. The skip car discharge gate is controlled by pneumatically operated release brackets. The large discharge opening of the skip car, the shape of the storage silos and full control of the discharge action effectively prevent the segregation of the hot asphalt mix.
