AMOMATIC - Modular Construction
The Amomatic plant is neither stationary nor
mobile, but it combines the best features of both. The modular contruction of Amomatic gives
it all the advantages of a stationary plant, while at the same
time it is possible to set-up or relocate the plant in a very
short time, in just a few days.
The Amomatic plant is usually transported using trucks and trailers. If required the plant can be equipped with suspension or wheels.
Concrete foundations are usually not needed for the installation
of the modular Amomatic plant.

The main object of the Amomatic´s modular
design is fast and easy set-up and relocation of the plant.
The following
gives some examples of details which highlight these aims:
|
| |
- all main modules have one or more
lifting brackets, located according to the centre of gravity,
so that the module can be safely and easily lifted and
handled in different positions during the erection, loading
and transportation phases.
- the drying drum includes an integrated
lifting frame.
- the support legs are mainly of hinged
construction so separate handling of legs is unnecessary.
- most of the service platforms and
handrails can be folded away by their hinges for transportation.
- the support frame of the filler silos
consists of two modules which are transported one inside
the other, with the dust silo inside these modules.
- during the erection the mixer module,
the hot aggregate bins and the screen module are automatically
placed in their respective positions by means of the conical
guide pins.
- in most cases concrete foundations are not needed; steel
plates under the support legs suffice.
- with a standard type of Amomatic plant, no welding is
needed during the set-up.
- electrical connections are by means of plugs and sockets.
- in general, the aim has been to minimize
the number of loose components.
|
Along with modularity, other design targets
have been high quality, reliable operation, minimal service needs
and easy maintenance.
Amomatic plants have been constructed to withstand the harsh Scandinavian
climate and conditions. One example of this is the Antiwear System
developed to prevent wear caused by hard granite stone material.
The majority of spare parts has been selected according to international
standards to ensure the best possible availability.
